As you leave Limerick city heading for Tipperary on the N24, Boher is the first village you meet. Nestled in the heart of the Ballyhoura countryside, Boher is a small community with a big heart - held together entirely by volunteers.

Our community centre started life as Boher's old railway station. Bought by the community in 1969 and reopened in 1977 after years of fundraising, the old station house is still where things happen today - get-togethers, parish socials and now a new multi-use games area for tennis, basketball and soccer, made possible by a Sports Capital Grant secured in 2023.
